n Memoriam

March 22, 1956-February 27, 2018

Barry was a life-long entrepreneur, pursuing opportunities that provided freedom to live humbly, create change, and build up community.  After spending his early professional years as a tennis pro, Barry pursued real estate investment and development as a sustainable way to create,  empower and impact urban communities.  As architect of the Deep Ellum Public Improvement District, Executive Director of the Deep Ellum Foundation, and Executive Director of University Crossing and Vickery Meadow Public Improvement Districts, Barry brought vision and passion together to embrace the soul of the people and develop vibrant and thriving communities.
